Potato Starch can be used in an exceptionally wide range of food products, including noodles,
meat products, dry mixes, and extruded food products. KMC Superior Potato Starch is produced
in Denmark from Danish potatoes using Danish groundwater. This results in an untreated
starch with exceptionally high purity – physically, chemically, and microbiologically.

KMC Superior Potato Starch has properties like low gelatinization temperature, high
viscosity, neutral taste, and high transparency. It can be delivered with moisture contents
from 4-20%. This ingredient is a cook-up starch. For cold processes, one can choose ColdSwell
1111, a native, pregelatinized starch. For foods with a low pH value, processes involving
high temperatures and/or long cooking and heavy mechanical treatment, one can choose a
suitably modified starch.

Potato granules can be used in a comprehensive selection of baked and extruded snack
products as well as in mashed potatoes, croquettes and other similar potato-based products.
Other applications are as binding and thickening agents in bakery products, dry mixes, baby
food and minced meat. KMC Potato Granules are ideal for binding water in hot processes.

temperatures, are available in a range of different particle sizes, with or without added
colors and in special additive-free versions as clean label alternatives.

KMC Potato Flakes can be combined with a wide range of other potato-based KMC starch
ingredients, or with other specialist ingredients, to achieve a solution tailored for a
particular requirement.
