On February 26, 2022, ComQuest was granted a Letter of Compliance for
the scope of Warehousing of Food Ingredients by TUV Rheinland Philippines, Inc.
after an assessment of its warehouse in Antipolo City from January 25 to 26, 2022.
This is in accordance with the requirements of Codex Alimentarius CAC/RCP 1-
1969, Rev. 4-2003/A.O. 153 s. 2004.
This certification upholds ComQuest by the highest standards in food
ingredients warehousing compliance. The certification was issued by Weni
Yuliarti, TUV Rheinland Philippines’ Manager for Customized Services System. It
should be noted that TÜV Rheinland is a global leader in independent inspection
services, founded 145 years ago. These independent experts stand for quality and
safety for people, technology and the environment. TÜV Rheinland inspects
technical equipment, products and services, oversees projects, and helps to
shape processes and information security for companies.
Compliance with Codex Alimentarius CAC/RCP 1-1969 means that the
warehouse’s premises, equipment and facilities are located, designed and
constructed to ensure that contamination is minimized, if not eliminated or totally
prevented. Its design and layout permit appropriate maintenance, cleaning and
disinfections and minimize air-borne contamination. Suitable facilities are
available for temperature, humidity and other controls, and there is effective
protection against pest access and harbourage.
Furthermore, the warehouse passed requirements of being located away
from environmentally polluted areas and industrial activities which pose a serious
threat of contaminating food, areas subject to flooding, areas prone to
infestations of pests and where wastes, either solid or liquid, cannot be removed
effectively. Its equipment are proven to permit adequate maintenance and
cleaning, function in accordance with its intended use and facilitates good
hygiene practices, including strict monitoring of activities.
