This wealth of offerings began with the barest of commodities, flourishing over the years by progressing from value-added products, to functional products, to breakthrough products. In March of 1987 Commodity Quest, Inc. was incepted. More fondly referred to as ComQuest in the industry, the company started as a commodities trader dealing basics like sugar, rice, pepper and copra. With its core products still undefined, it went on to trading leather, chemicals and computer peripherals. When food ingredients eventually found its way to ComQuest’s product line, it was the beginning of what would eventually define the company.

ComQuest found its way into the food ingredients industry through the COCOA market. For decades, the name ComQuest has become synonymous to cocoa and chocolate. However, as it continued to grow and take its entrepreneurial vision further, it expanded its market coverage, developing new and exciting product lines.

Today, the company offers other essential food ingredients such as dairy products, stabilizers and emulsifiers, savory flavors, natural flavors and extracts, hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, demineralized whey powders and starches. These diverse range of products are sourced from the Asia Pacific Region, the USA and Europe to Philippine manufacturers who process products such as baked goods, confectionery, ice cream and dairy, instant noodles, snacks, condiments and seasonings, and beverages among so many others.

ComQuest, through consistent study, processing and innovation, continues to improve its strategies and approaches to the market. With its steady growth since inception, the company’s rapid development of new product offerings, coupled with initiative and aggressive
marketing efforts has brought forth this remarkable expansion. During this COVID 19 pandemic, the ComQuest sales force did not have to go back to the drawing table to re-align strategies to avoid compromise as far as service efficiency to clients is concerned. Even before the pandemic, computerization was already at play for better customer service, so there was a seamless transition as focus was directed at still providing the best customer service to help clients adjust and do business in the midst of the new normal. Assistance and collections are done thru webinars and transaction systems are digitally adapted for safety and convenience.
